I have spent most of my life in the industry, and the last ten years running my own restaurant in the Lisbon area.
The tools here were never designed to be sold. They came out of necessity. I wanted to know what things actually cost, how a week was really going, and to be able to take an x-ray of the operation whenever I needed one. So I built them over time, and used, polished and grew them through the years.
In my experience most of what was available was either very expensive or built for a business much bigger than mine. So I made simple ones instead. Simple enough that one person juggling every side of a small business can actually keep them up to date, and get numbers back fast enough to do something about them.
Every now and then, talking with colleagues, someone would ask me for a copy of something I had built. It kept happening. That is how Maître Deck started to take shape.
Everything on this site started as something we use in our own restaurant.
I have always been into tech as well, so the digital side comes easily. What has changed is that one person can now build things that used to need a team. That is how the templates got made, and it is why the same help extends to a website, a menu or a costing session when a colleague needs one. That is what the services page is for.
There are more tools in the pipeline. They are being built and tested in my own restaurant first, the same way everything else here was, and they will land here once they are proven.
There is no team here. No investors, no sales department. When you write, I am the one who answers, as soon as service allows.
I know what running a small restaurant takes, and how tough the market has become. So if I believe I can genuinely add value to your business, I will tell you. And if I believe I am not the right person, or that there are better options for your situation, I will tell you that too.
